CBC Bandwidth

CBC's Alan Neal visited Infotourist HQ recently for an interview for Bandwidth. The interview will be on CBC Radio 1 in Ottawa (107.5 FM) tomorrow (Saturday, April 26) at 5:00 PM. I am reluctant to tell you this because I think I inadvertently offended at least 3 major segments of society during the course of the interview.
Word is that he might play an exclusive early cut of "Now That Everyone Is Broke", which will be on our upcoming album.
(If you listened to Bandwidth last week, you would have heard The Gertrudes, two of which are Infotourists.)
Infotourist on TV

Infotourist's hymn for highways and/or cantata for cold-callers, Have I Gone Astray?, is going to be used in Episode 5 of Roadtrip Nation, a PBS show about self discovery on the road. Here is the episode guide, and here are the air dates. Episodes will also be made available on the website. It's a great show. I'm watching Episode 1 right now.
Update: Episode 5 will be here. Nothing loads there for me yet (after the intro, I get a black screen with "Buffering" on the bottom). I'll update the site when it becomes available. Stay tuned.
Update 2: The Episode is actually here. I expected that our song would only appear briefly in the background, but it actually opens the episode at 1:49 and plays for a whole minute.

America Will Hide Me From The World has been accorded a new honour: one of 20 finalists in the Topical/Political category of the 11th Annual Unisong International Songwriting Contest. Hello Helpdesk only got an Honourable Mention last year, so that means we're movin' on up!
Infotourist "band to watch" in Welcome Back magazine
Posted by Jason on September 7, 2007
Infotourist has been featured as one of four "bands to watch" in the 2007 edition of the "Welcome Back" magazine for Queens University, St. Lawrence College, and Royal Military College students. If you have a copy, you can find us on page 19. It's a great article.
Back from the UK

Infotourist has returned from the UK.
It was an amazing experience. We'll post photos and details as soon as things settle down a bit here at Infotourist HQ. Off the top of my head: we might be getting our photo in Billboard magazine. Stay tuned...
Thanks to CBC Radio 3 for dropping a mention in their blog, and to The Kingston Whig-Standard for devoting an entire page to it in the Ticket.
Canadian Music Spotlight

Infotourist is being featured in the Canadian Music Spotlight on publicbroadcasting.ca.
That a guy as busy as Justin Beach took an interest in Infotourist is pretty flattering. This guy is the Canadian music scene.
Another mention here.
