Podcast: Infotourist on The Sweet Hereafter

On Tuesday April 4, Jason and Noah appeared on Tuan "Hitmaker" Bui's show The Sweet Hereafter on CFRC radio in Kingston to talk about Selected Case Studies, upcoming performances, music distribution, and a number of other topics. The entire show is available as an MP3, but be warned that it's a 110 MB file. The Infotourist-centric part of the two-hour program starts at about the one hour and ten minute mark and lasts almost to the end, but the entire show is well worth a listen; if you like it, consider subscribing to the Sweet Hereafter podcast.

Sweet Dark: Songs from Next Church

Matt engineered, produced, played extensively on, and figuratively gave birth to Sweet Dark: Songs from Next Church, with most of the pleasure and agony that all that entails. Sweet Dark features 15 songs written and performed by people who attend Next, and includes the Infotourist song "Have I Gone Astray?" from Selected Case Studies, "I Am" by Matt's other band, Lacklustre, and a bunch more great songs by friends of ours. Aside from our own song, the other members of Infotourist also appear in various capacities on many other songs.

A CD release concert for Sweet Dark will take place Sunday April 9 at 7pm at Next Church, 89 Colborne Street in Kingston. We'll be performing "Have I Gone Astray?" and backing up a bunch of other great musicians. Admission is free, but please bring some non-perishable food.

AMS Foodbank Fundraiser

We're playing a fundraiser for the Queen's AMS Foodbank on Thursday April 6 at Clark Hall Pub at Queen's University. Also appearing that night are Matt's other band Lacklustre, Jason's other band Reno's Hitmen, Agent Elusive, and Team Fence. Doors open at 9, and the cover is only $4 (that's less than $1/band!). [Insert generic marketing-speak sentence about "great music" and "great cause" here.]

CFRC Interview

We're going to be in studio at CFRC on Tuesday April 4. We'll be interviewed by Tuan Bui on his show The Sweet Hereafter, which is on from 3 to 5pm every Tuesday. We'll be there to talk about Selected Case Studies and the AMS Foodbank Fundraiser, and perhaps some other stuff like the Long Tail; maybe curling too.

You can find CFRC at 101.9 FM in Kingston, or you can listen to the stream on the CFRC website. A podcast of the show should be available after it airs.
