The Sweet Hereafter Podcast

Posted by Noah on June 21, 2006

The podcast of our visit to The Sweet Hereafter at CFRC on Tuesday June 20 is now available. Download it here, but be aware that it's 108 Megabytes. We're on from about the 1:15:00 mark to about 1:35:00, but the whole show is worth a listen.

Tuan plays a lot of great music each week, and we highly recommend subscribing to the podcast so that you can keep up.

The Sweet Hereafter

Posted by Noah on June 20, 2006

We're making a return visit to Tuan's show, The Sweet Hereafter, on CFRC today (June 20) at 4pm. We'll be talking mostly about our experience at North by Northeast, but we'll also probably find time to slip in a few words about the Skeleton Park Music Festival which is coming up this Saturday, maybe a bit about what we're expecting from the Millennium Music Conference, and with a little luck we'll convince him to play America Will Hide Me From The World.

If you have the time, tune in at www.cfrc.ca or 101.9 FM in Kingston to hear the show live; we'll also provide a link to the podcast of the show once it's available.

Shirts

Posted by Noah on June 15, 2006

We've made some Infotourist shirts which we're offering for sale for $15 each. They're high-quality American Apparel shirts, so you'd probably pay at least that just for the shirt at a store -- when you buy it from us you get the shirt plus a cool logo, and you get to do some of our dirty promo work for us.

We'll put up some pictures of the shirts as soon as I find the cable that connects my camera to my computer. They'll be for sale at the Skeleton Park Music Festival and eventually possibly through the website as well. In the meantime, if you trust our aesthetic sensibilities so much that you want to buy one sight unseen, please contact us.

MMC has been booked!

The fine folks at the Millennium Music Conference have managed to hook us up with a slot that will give us plenty of time to get back to Kingston for the Skeleton Park Festival. The details:

This will be good. Look at how much fun these people are having there. Our depression-inducing music should put an end to that pretty quickly.

By the way, check out the impressive fortress of booze. Superman could find solitude inside that thing.

Millennium Music Conference

Posted by Jason on May 8, 2006

We've been selected to showcase at the Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on the weekend of June 22 to 24. There is no firm date scheduled as yet, so stay tuned. Depending on the day, we may be too busy rocking Skeleton Park to attend.

This means that we may actually be at the point in our career where we have to start turning down invitations. This is a big milestone!

Skeleton Park Music Festival

Posted by Jason on May 8, 2006

We're going to be playing at the Skeleton Park Music Festival on Saturday, June 24 at 2:00 PM in Kington's McBurney Park. We will be sharing the main stage with a lot of great bands (Pico de Gallo, Luther Wright and the Wrongs, Karyn Ellis, Justin Bird, The Lady Racers, The Grimwits, etc.). This is going to be a great festival.

It's a family event, in a beautiful park with lots of old trees. And if you hate our music, you can at least be entertained by the playground equipment there. I recommend the see-saw car.

North By Northeast

Posted by Jason on May 8, 2006

Infotourist will be showcasing at North By Northeast this year. The details:

If you are in the Toronto area, this is the show to come to. We want to get signed, so we need to make it look like we have a lot of fans. That way, if we fail to convince the attending A&R executives of our musical credentials, at least we can potentially sway them with group-think.
